I'm looking for some tofu advice. How do you use it in your cooking? Any ideas?

Hi! I'm a culinary trained chef and I admit I have only dabbled in using tofu. I'm increasingly leaning towards vegetarianism and I'm looking for some thoughts, ideas, inspiration or ideas from the Vegetarian and Vegan community. Any help? 10 points will be handed out!

    i use it a lot, its very bland so needs lots of marinading, i get in the local thai its deep fried in sesame crumb served with peanut sauce, i add it to rice+vegetables having marinated over night in soy sauce, herbs, or grill it serve with a rich sun dried tomato sauce, hope this helps

    i often saute firm tofu with chicken or other meat for stir-fry. I let it brown and get a little crisp, then add sauce and lots of veggies.

    Softer tofu is a good addition to soups. It has no real taste on its own, but it does a great job of picking up flavor from whatever it's cooked with.

    You and your daughter will just about continuously like this: Thaw and drain the tofu. as quickly as thawed: placed it on a plate with 3-4 parts of paper towel on the botton and one greater 3-4 on the perfect, then one greater plate to weight it. enable sit down down in refrigerator for a million hour. as quickly as drained thoroughly, slice the tofu into massive chunks. In an non-stick skillet, placed 4 T canola oil or peanut oil. Fry the tofu cubes till golden on each and each element. This takes a on the comparable time. Be sufferer. enable drain of oil on greater paper towel. PEANUT SAUCE FOR DIPPING: a million cup peanut butter a million can coconut milk a million tsp. chopped garlic a million/2 tsp. ginger (optionally available) a million/2 tsp. thai garlic chili sauce (close the thai nutrition on the grocery) a million/2 TABlespoon brown sugar (white is fantastic too) a million/2 TABlespoon turmeric warmth on medium till heated and mixed. proceed to organize dinner on medium for 10 minutes, stirring specifically. Serve with tofu chunks. SO good! (i'm making it proper now infact.)

    Tofu with vegetables (spinach, lettuce, any kind of vegetable).
