Thanks for all the answers so far guys :) my boyfriend did this to a girl while I was sitting right next to him and couldn't understand why I got upset, he couldn't see anything wrong with it...

No I would just play with my girlfriends hair.. I mean that's like asking me if I mind my girlfriend squeezing another mans muscles..

hmmmmm depends on who it is..and what you describe it as - e.g. playful raising up another girls hair as opposed to stroking her hair with care ( no pun intended ;) )
so yeah...i probably wouldnt do either, but i know many guys would play around (jokingly) with the hair of one of their friends who's a chick and really wouldn't be anything, but i guess in all cases its circumstantial
