Can I moisturize my face?

I was told that if you moisturize your face, it blocks your pores and gives you pimples. I already have pimples and I don't want more, so I was wondering, if I do moisturize my face will it block my pores?

Thank you!! :)

Using normal skin lotion will clog your facial pores causing more acne. If you to to the facial section at Walmart or anywhere really they will sell facial lotions. These are oil free, and generally contain 2% benzoyl peroxide or such to help with the acne. I know when my face is dry my acne gets better but you still need your face to look healthy and not all crusty and flakey and the right facial lotions will fix the problem. I use clean and clear and it works great!

If you are currently not using moisturizer, your pimples are possibly from not using any moisturizer. There are some products out there that clog pores, but most don't because no one will put on moisturzer if it blocks pores. Your skin needs soothing, gentle moisture. Start out with the most gentle moisturizers you can find- ones meant for the face. If you're still getting acne, try some spot creams to treat them. If you're still getting acne, try an astringent toner. But whatever you do, have AT LEAST ONE extra gentle, soothing product in your skincare line. If you go all out and use all kinds of acne products, your skin will get irritated and cause more breakouts.

moisturizing your face is necessary regardless of your skin type. if you are worried about acne/pimples, look for a moisturizer that is oil free, meant for oily skin, etc. I suggest anything by neutrogena or clean and clear(:

No! As long as you exfoliate every week it should be fine. In fact, it may even help your acne. You should wash your fave every morning and might, with just warm water, and moisturize after washing it. And once or twice a week exfoliate. I recommend St.Ives apricot scrub.

They have face moisturizers that don't have oil in them. Just go to your drugstore or walmart, target and they'll have them in the face wash section.

No, you should moisturise whether you have dry skin or oily. It helps to balance everything out.

The only reason your skin is oily is because it's trying to balance it out and keep you from getting dry skin. That and hormones.
