What does this quote mean?
This quote is from Niccolo Machiavelli's book, The Prince, from the Renaissance
"In the actions of men, and especially of princes, from which there is no appeal, the end justifies me."
To be honest, I really can't tell what Machiavelli's trying to say....
Wait, I just realized, it's "the end justifies the means." Sorry. :P

I think what Machiavelli was trying to say is that any government leader can do whatever he/she wants in the government as long as it is right, even though the leader msg lie about it, therefore the consequence of what the leader did (the end) justifies the means. The consequence makes up a reason for why the leader did what he did.
