Need help deciding on laptop, price vs performance?
I've had a Toshiba Satellite L645 for a year and a half now, recently I took it into a repair shop because the LCD screen stopped functioning. Little did I know, my Mom bought me a Sony Vaio for my upcoming birthday (she pretty much had to ruin the surprise because of my other laptop in the shop). So now Im stuck on what to do. I could get my old laptop back for only 70 bucks, or keep the Vaio which my Mom spent 600 on. I need advice because I'm not knowledgeable when it comes to laptops. Thanks.

Why can you not do both keep the older repaired Toshiba and the new laptop ? For $70.00 you would have two laptops in case some thing went wrong with the new one.
