Cal Poly Pomona or SF State?
I'm transferring from a CC in the Bay Area (CA) and am a kinesiology major, with the ultimate goal of becoming a Physical Therapist once I get my bachelors and hopefully get admitted into a PT program. I have a 3.0 gpa, which I still want to raise before I transfer in a couple of semesters.
On one hand I am considering SF State, mainly because they have a pre-physical therapy program already. The thing is that I already live in the bay area and would really prefer to get out, do something new and go to school somewhere considerably distant. That's where Pomona comes in. I want to experience something new and going to school in socal for a while sounds inticing. Other CSUs in socal like Long Beach are down on my list since I heard they are harder to get into with only a sub-3.0 gpa, so that's why I considered CPP. I'm really stuck at a crossroads, I don't know what to do! Does the pre-physical therapy thing alone really have the weight to cross out CPP? I mean, in this case, is "a bachelors is a bachelors" hold any truth or does the program at SF State give it priority? Any insightful answers are appreciated.
3 AnswersHigher Education (University +)8 years agoShould I add this girl on facebook? Can't think of anything else?
So long story short, there was this girl in my class at school (Jr College) and she was into me, I think, but I was stupid and waited until recently to decide to make a move. Of course, the day I planned to was the day she dropped the class.
I have no other way of getting in touch with her besides facebook, but here's where it gets a little weird. Her fb is set up so that you can't find it unless you have a direct link to her profile, and I managed to find it through a little google navigating. If I add her, which is the only thing I can think of to stay in contact with her, wouldn't it seem a little creepy considering the way I found her facebook? Would I be able to get away with just playing it off lightly so it doesn't seem weird? Thanks.
In case anybody suggest I just forget about her, the whole reason I'm hung up on this girl is because she's really, really hot. She models and sh*t, so you get the picture. lol. I don't want to let this just slip away. I would feel like an idiot...
3 AnswersFacebook8 years agoNeed help deciding on laptop, price vs performance?
I've had a Toshiba Satellite L645 for a year and a half now, recently I took it into a repair shop because the LCD screen stopped functioning. Little did I know, my Mom bought me a Sony Vaio for my upcoming birthday (she pretty much had to ruin the surprise because of my other laptop in the shop). So now Im stuck on what to do. I could get my old laptop back for only 70 bucks, or keep the Vaio which my Mom spent 600 on. I need advice because I'm not knowledgeable when it comes to laptops. Thanks.
2 AnswersLaptops & Notebooks8 years agoStatistics help, significance level not given?
I'm doing chi-square analysis and I have already computed the test statistic for the table, but I need to find the critical value. I also already have the degrees of freedom (4). However, the problem does not state which significance level I should use, unlike the previous problems I was working on. Should I just use .05 by default or is there another way to compute it?
1 AnswerHomework Help8 years agoName of fable/short story?
I can't remember the name of a fable I hear of a long time ago. I dont even clearly remember exactly what happened in it, all I remember is that the story was about a fox (or a wolf?) offering to carry another small animal across a small body of water. As the water gets deeper, the animal on the fox's back has to continually climb further up the fox until it is sitting on its nose, where the fox quickly eats the animal. Anyone know the name or any additional details about this story?
2 AnswersBooks & Authors9 years agoLeft 4 Dead pink and black errors?
I have no clue what just happened but I was playing Left 4 Dead 1 (versus mode) and the whole map was filled with giant letter blocks that spelled ERROR. They were pink and black and acted in place of zombies, except they didn't hurt you, they just blocked you from moving anywhere.
This happened in a couple more matches until I decided to quit, but not before people started messaging me saying things like "Thanks for f*cking up online" and things of that nature. So, I was wondering what the hell is going on? Did I unintentionally ruin everyone's game? If so, how the hell did that happen???
I have no idea how to hack anyone at all. This is really weird.
5 AnswersVideo & Online Games9 years agoWorking at a place I frequently shop at?
Considering its only a summer job, is it a smart idea to apply? I mean, I keep thinking about what will happen once I quit and return to school in the fall, then I go back to the store as a customer. Wouldn't that be weird and awkward? Should I apply somewhere that I don't shop at often?
2 AnswersOther - Careers & Employment9 years agoWhy do cartoons and movies always serve punch?
It seems like at every party or social gathering of some sort, in many cartoons and movies, the default drink that is served is just "punch". Punch. Not soda, water, but always punch! haha, why is that?
Example: typical line: "I'm gonna go get some punch." Never any other beverage.

2 AnswersMovies9 years agoEarly 2000s rock song?
I don't even like the song that much, but the fact that I can't remember it is pissing me off lol.
I don't remember the band or song name, but the actual song was an acoustic guitar. For musicians out there, the chorus was basically an F chord and then an Am.
The lyrics (especially the chorus, if I remember correctly) has lyrics something like "I thought you something something, I thought you something something" sounds sort of like Blue Monday's lyrics ("I thought...") then the last line of the chorus was "It's not enough" I think... Any help?
1 AnswerRock and Pop9 years agoKindergarten Computer Game?
Hi, I'm trying to find at least the name of an old Computer, Cd Rom game from the late 90s, possibly early 2000s. Its been bugging me lately that I can't find it on the internet anywhere.
The theme song goes something like, "Kindergarten, Heeere I coooome!"
The teacher of the class was a bunny in blue overalls. There was also a counting game which involved going out the field/farm in the back of the building and counting the number of a certain type of vegetable growing in the ground. And uh, trying to remember any details I can...
The class room had the ABCs along the wall and if you clicked them, there would be a song in an African style, singing the alphabet.
that's all I can remember, really. Any help on the name or where I can find it would be much appreciated!
3 AnswersVideo & Online Games9 years agoAny idea for my novel's plot?
So I've got two story lines to my plot sort of done but I need help with the main storyline for the narrator.
One element will be the narrator's little brother's experience dating in high school, out of race, and the issues he encounters with people's negative views of the relationship.
The other element is the narrator's subconscious/unaware, subtle attraction to his coworker, who is dating, quite simply, a douchebag. They are good friends, though, throughout the novel.
I want the ending of the novel to be that the narrator realizes he wanted the coworker all along but throughout the novel he has been doing things that signal his want, but he was unaware of his attraction. What could he possibly do? I thought maybe he could be settling for a below average looking girl and everyone looks down on him because of this, but then I'm lost on the rest of the idea. And if it helps, I want this plot to resemble the style of writing in Great Gatsby, not necessarily the story, but the style. Thanks in advance.
BTW, I kind of hit it on the head with the last sentence, but just in case you don't get it, this is not a romance novel. I want the themes to be about, first of all, relationships between races and society's views on them, and the other theme is how low self confidence combined with envy can lead to unreasonable actions.

Really baffled right now, wondering if anyone can help. I'm trying to figure out the name of a superhero but all I know is the logo. Its a red circle with two black half circles (red line down the middle) and there are two small white circles that look like eyeballs or something inside the black halfcircles. Can anyone name him?!?!
