Working at a place I frequently shop at?
Considering its only a summer job, is it a smart idea to apply? I mean, I keep thinking about what will happen once I quit and return to school in the fall, then I go back to the store as a customer. Wouldn't that be weird and awkward? Should I apply somewhere that I don't shop at often?

Just let them know it's a summer job and that you plan on leaving on a certain date. I've done the same and they were fine with it just let them no so there is no conflict

I used to work at places I liked to shop. I ended up coming home with a new merchandise almost every day. The husband did not like that. lol
I don't think it will be too weird or awkward shopping there after working there. But if you continue to work there and shop there frequently on days off then I think you might get tired of the place. maybe ....
