Why do cartoons/movies always serve punch at parties?
It seems like at every party or social gathering of some sort, in many cartoons and movies, the default drink that is served is just "punch". Punch. Not soda, water, but always punch! haha, why is that?
Example: typical line: "I'm gonna go get some punch."

Well that's actually what they serve at proms and stuff. And at home parties I guess because of the joke "spiking the punch" and there probably not gonna say I'm gonna go get some koolaid. It's just a very original quote that's basically why
