Do spiders kill or eat ticks?
I live in a wooded area and sometimes have ticks on me when I enter the house…I also see small spiders sometimes and I don't like them but would they kill or eat ticks if they came across them? I'd be willing to leave the spiders alone if there was even the slightest chance they would reduce my risk of contracting Lyme Disease in the slightest…(located southcentral/eastern Pennsylvania).

Spiders will prey on any other arthropod, even other spiders. They will feed on ticks, and from your description, it sounds like you have a tick population problem. The probability of pathogens from ticks is really rather low, and promptly removing ticks will minimize risks.
Pets would be a bigger issue and should be checked frequently.
In that you don't care for spiders, you need not have to deal with them, but they are a good natural exterminator of pest insects. If you can tolerate their presence, a couple here and there are worth having around.

I do it all of the time. If I don't kill them, I catch them and flush them. Actually, it depends on the insect, sometimes I leave spiders alone because they eat flies, and I hate flies. I don't have roaches. Ticks I flush after I pull them off of the dogs. But, I let my husband deal with the dead mice. I think mice are cute, so I feel sorry for the dead ones. Not so sorry that I don't let him set the traps though!

Sometimes they're just gross. Why did my fiance almost knock me off the bed when I told him there was a spider at the foot of it? I usually try to take the spiders outside myself, roaches are just goin' down.
