Shooting RPG in prone position?
Ok I've not served in military, so this may be a stupid question, but anyways. WW2 RPGs in particular. I used to think that you risk frying your butt if you shoot RPG wlile prone. Is taht true?

There were no R.P.G.'s in WW2
Anti tank weapons such as U.S. Bazookas or German Panzerfaust
could be safely fired from a standing, kneeling, lying position.
The user would lie at an angle and not parallel to the tube,
more danger were to those 5 - 10 meters to the rear in the back blast area
and it was not advisable to fire from a room unless some of the inner walls were removed prior to firing to allow an area for the back-blast to dissipate.

There are specific prone positions you can take to avoid this. Although we do not use RPG's in the US you can reference "Soldiers Manual of Common Tasks, Warrior Skills Level 1". Look for "Engage targets with AT-4" This manual should be readily available on the internet .
