Braxton Hicks Question?

I am 28 weeks pregnant and wondering about Braxton Hicks. My friend told me it feels like menstrual cramps. However, in my research it says to call the doctor if it feels like menstrual cramping.

Any one have experience? What does it feel like and what would be a reason to call the doctor?

    It feels like a tightening and if you press down on your stomach it's rock hard. When you get one you'll know it.

    I experience everyday it's just mild cramping in my stomach last a few seconds.

    Tighting of cervix and goes very hard lasts for a few seconds then goes then come back again, best way I can describe it lol
