That depends where you are - there is no law against it in the UK. In the USA all sodomy laws were struck down by the Supreme Court in 2003 - with the exception of those applying within the military. There are still many countries where it is illegal - especially in Africa and the Middle East.

Anal sex is legal in every state because of the Supreme Court case of Lawrence Vs Texas which legalizes consensual sodomy in the US. It is illegal like places in Iran and other Islamic countries that have shariah law.

Consensual sodomy with person under legal age of consent remain illegal and non-consensual sodomy with a person of any age remains illegal in the US.
