    5(4x-2y=13) = 20x-10y=65

    12x+10y=15 12x+10y=15

    32x=80

    x=5/2

    4(2.5)-13=2y

    10-13 = 2y

    2y = -3

    y= -3/2

    Answer = C

    Which is the solution to the system of equations?

    4x - 13 = 2y

    12x + 10y = 15

    12x - 6y = 39

    16y = -24

    y= -3/2

    x = 5/2

    Answer choice:

    C (5/2, -3/2)

    You have two systems of equations and two variables.

    In the first, solve for y, this yields y=(4x-13)/2

    Plug this into the second equation and solve for x

    12x+10[(4x-13)/2]=15

    Solving for x yields x=80/32=5/2

    Plug this back into your solution for y and you get y=-3/2

    Your answer is c
