What is this poem about?

Looking through the dark nihility void of time I see.

my past moving in the endless trench of my disillusive hopes and all that I can be.

Lost in the isolation of dark places, shadowed by the light,

I feel that there is no point in a fight.

I am the son and heir of nothing unique

Life’s so bleak being a member of the meek

in the books and dreams I spend my time

My honest heart becomes my crime

Forced to be in the crowed of a million

I find myself having to be the normal civilian

The pulling and tearing of slippery words,

Forces me to look away, towards the birds

I find myself lost in the presents of something

I am housed under the Sketch of nothing

My troubles dissipating into the void of time

I am engrossed in the grimes of humanity’s rhyme

what is this poem about do you think? How does it speak to you?

I think it's about a guy who feels his life slipping by, and he comes to a melancholy acceptance that he can't change it.

It seems like it's written by someone who thinks they'll never amount to anything. They are probably "invisible" to other people (suggesting that no one really every noticed them). They're obviously lacking the knowledge of self-expression.. So they have not yet blossomed into who they are destined to be.

In other words.. Everyone has potential, but this person does not believe they do.

It doesn't speak to me.. because, honestly, I feel like the person was not writing this poem to express emotion, rather than trying to hard to get things to rhyme. They clearly do not know how to write a poem and are trying far too hard.

Then again, they're obviously depressed. ..But still.

Somebody knows that he is a loser: he thinks writing about this will make him feel better.

The way to deal with being a loser is to stop being a loser (or, if you can't do that, join a church).

Writing about being a loser just makes you a bigger one.
