Is 60K a year a sufficient amount to live on for two people moving to Atlanta Georgia?

A friend is moving and was offered a job she doesn't know what the cost of living is there. She may be moving there with her fiance but he's out of a job at the moment. Basically she would rent a place for them and neither have car notes but both do have cars.

Yes. The median household income for Atlanta in 2011 was $52,639 ($61,455 family income) an amount that isn't likely to increase in this economy, putting your friends income right in the middle of everyone else. Not having debt is just a bonus. Your friend my want to compare where she is coming from on one of those cost of living calculators. The South is known for a lower cost of living in most cases.

if she can not support him and self on 60K

then she is acting the "princess".

60K is more than average family of 4 get in USA.

she can google 'for rents' in area.

have her learn to rent at less than 1 week take home pay.

she find plenty of 1 bed /1bath rental for less than 900$ month

that are safe and decent drive.
