My husband needs to gain weight?

He has hyperthyroidism, and yes I know that requires pills and doctors help, but we cannot afford that right now. I try to make him eat as much as I can, but it makes him sick. Can anyone suggest some foods that would be fattening, but not greasy or upset his stomach?

Sure. There are some foods that are very high in calorie content.

Butteries - these are extremely high calorie. with butter and Jam 2 of them are around 1000 calories and they taste very nice (and quite small. It would be easy to eat a few in a day). A few of them in a day will help you on your way.

Peanut butter is pretty heavy as well. Not too unhealthy either.

    Cheese is definitely very fatty

Processed meats are usually quite heavy on calories

Full fat milk will help greatly and it is so easy to drink. He could get a couple of pints in a day.

Fattening but not greasy foods: Pasta, icecream, ramon noodles, soup, oatmeal, cream of wheat, shrimp scampi, tostadas, ceviche, chicken, turkey, sun chips, yogurt, cheese sticks, fruit, cashews & a whole lot other foods :) goodluck :)
