Computer help: Google Notification: Unusual traffic from your computer network?

So two days ago I went on this website a friend told me to go on, didn't download anything but exited out of it when I thought it would give me a virus- might have been too late though. I went on google right after and got this alarming notification about unusual traffic from my computer network saying that it could be from malware.. so i ran my Norton Internet Security quick scan and nothing, then the full scan still nothing.

Then Norton Power Eraser and it found some .exe file in my temp folder that it failed to remove, and this scared me a little.

I barely used my computer yesterday and when I did I had no problems. But just now google sent me the same notification.

What could this be?

Do I have a virus even though Norton couldn't find anything?

And what should my next steps be.

Any help is greatly appreciated! Thank you

Norton is an antivirus...ur computer is infected with malware, not viruses. For malware, u should download and run a scan with Superantispyware. and remove any found threats.

Also, Norton is a mediocre(at best) antivirus program. It is horrid and catching and removing viruses.

i recommend u uninstall norton, and install Avast instead.

    Download Superantispyware from

    http://download.cnet.com/SuperAntiSpyware-Free-Edi...

Download it,install it, run it. Perform Quick Scan. Once scan is complete, click Show results-check all threats found and click Remove Threats.

(As a small PS- i choose Superantispyware over MBAM(Malwarebytes), simply because MBAM is not what it used to be, and Superantispyware actually cleans up where MBAM failed)

    Download AVAST from

    http://download.cnet.com/Avast-Free-Antivirus/3000...

On the lest side, click DOWNLOAD NOW. Install, run it-remove found threats.

Or it would desire to be which you have a lot of instruments linked on your community. try switching them off. wish that helps.
