Two job offers, which should I choose?
I have been working part time for my office for over a year. I'm classified as part-time but I work full time hours. There is an opening for a full time position in my office, but other people were able to apply for it. I did too, but was told by human resources that I have to go through the same process as anyone else, regardless of the fact that I am already an employee. So applied for another job and finally last week got called in for a background check for the other position. Then on Tuesday the job I'm currently working for said that I got hired full time for the office. Yesterday I got a call from the other job I applied for and they offered me the job. Full time M-F 8-5, with weekends off versus the Tues-Sat 9:30-6:30 that I currently work. The pay is the same for both jobs, as well as the benefits and advancement opportunities. I was told by both employers that if I pass the probationary period of 1 year, then I can transfer to another department that has an opening. If I leave, I'll miss everyone. I'm comfortable in my job and don't have such a grim outlook on it since I have the opportunity to be paid more. But I don't want to miss out on this other opportunity either. I have to make a decision by tomorrow. That's when I'm expected to sign the paperwork to be hired by the other place if I decide to take it.

Of course it comes down to your decision. A hard one but think about it. Weigh the cons and pros for each one and whichever has the most pros go with that one. If i were you I would probably stay in the place i worked for already although the hours are different since the other job seems to have better schedule time but still pick old place. UNLESS you have reasons like you dislike a few things about it. Then by all means choose the other place.
I'm the type person who doesn't like to start new and get to know all people again (although it's okay) but rather stay at a place where I'm more familiar with everyone. But if your the type of person who likes to meet new people and take chances then go for it.

I think staying with your current job is the best move. Starting new jobs is always stressful; learning everything, meeting everyone, trying to make friends, the list goes on! Within your current office, you're already comfortable. You know how things run around there, you know people... It would just be much easier and take a lot of the stress off your shoulders!
Also, they offered the job to you because they already know and trust you. That says a lot about your current employer.

HR wasn't being cold with you. They have to offer it that way. It has to go through the process even if they liked you the most. It looks like they all did like you the most. That's a good reason to stay.
