Todd Akin says that women don't get pregnant if it is "legitimate rape" So Michelle Knight...?

... was not legitimately raped, Tea Partiers?

By your guys' reckoning, she must have brought it on herself, right?

(Michele Knight is one of the 3 Ohio women locked up for over a decade in Ariel Castro's basement as his sex slaves - she gave birth to his daughter who is now 6)

Update:

First of all Akin's apology was a non-apology. He basically said he was sorry people got mad. He never fully repudiated what he said.

Second, this IS a typical far right, Tea Party view. It's a very antiquated, backward idea that if a woman put herself in a position to be raped then she must have wanted it or deserved it on some level. It just takes an event this horrendous to make people face facts that this view is WAY off base.

Update 2:

That'll Do

Tea Partiers didn't exactly line up to condemn the guy. He still ended up getting 39.2% of the vote in the last election and Rep. Joe Walsh came out and defended the guy's comments! As crazy as it sounds - as disheartening as it certainly is, there is at least a significant minority of people who think this way.

Update 3:

@Ms. Manners

I am using a tragedy to point out the radical agenda of the ignorant in the hopes that people will see them for what they are and that attitudes about rape actually change.

It's now not in all likelihood, given that she's 44, and even if she was once, she and Obama are too sensible to procreate at this factor in their lives. There may be been no trade within the intimacy between the 2; we simply get to peer more of it now that they're now not busy campaigning and have a hazard to remain in a single position for greater than every week.

Now there is some bizarre and twisted "logic" for you. By your claim, one person speaks and must be representative of the whole party or movement due to his or her wrong statement.

By that logic, I can take every stupid thing Joe Biden has said, or Sheila Jackson Lee or that fellow in Georgia that thinks Guam will tip over if there are more people added to the island, or Jesse Jackson or Maxine Waters or Cold Cash Jefferson or Al Sharpton etc. etc. and then extrapolate to the entire Dem party.

Oh wait, I thought of a better example still. Debbie Wasserman Schultz ( the gift that keeps on giving) and wouldn't know a true statement if it bit her on the touchas.) I can take every stupid thing she has ever uttered and use it, then say that the entire Democrat party is just like she is.

Never let a tragedy go to waste, huh?

How disgusting that you are using the poor woman's misery to make political points.

    ***

You have done more to point out the cold callousness of the left.

Akin's views have never been shared by the majority on the right.

Your mind is warped. The only thing Akin meant was was it legitimate or a false accusation from a liberal like the one the black woman accused the Duke lacrosse team. Or the one Al Sharpton was involved in with Twanna Brawley, they blamed the prosecutor of rape. Both were proven false.

Truth is the liberal doesn't want a woman to defend herself against rape.

I know this is totally ignored by the left, but Akins apologized for his statement a long time ago.

Didn't Akin lose the election last Nov? Why are you still talking about him?

Todd Akin is ONE person, and does not reflect the entire GOP or Tea Party.

Using your logic, then ALL of you think just telling a rapist not to rape is enough to prevent

Or how about essentially telling women that they are too stupid to defend themselves:

    http://www.gopusa.com/theloft/2013/02/21/democrats...

A North Carolina Democrat thinks that Republicans are "raping the entire State." Could you please educate your Dems on what rape really is?

Way to go with that amazing liberal logic.

So do like the method of abortion here? Punching her in the stomach repeatedly until she miscarries? Even libbers have to understand that this is murder. Ohio has death penalty for these thugs, thank goodness!

Wow. You had to go back a while to find a way to try to connect this to Republicans.

That happened a long time ago.

And we all know that things that happen a long time ago don't matter anymore. Right?

I'm sure the Tea Party paid Castro's mortgage so he could have 3 sex slaves. But he must have gotten his abortion techniques of starvation and beatings from Gosnell. your lib bro.
