Christian cleansing in US military?
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2322107/Na...
well they cleansed her because they thought she was Muslim. AND THESE ARE THE SAME PEOPLE who say they are being cleansed in the military for not being able to convert people into Christianity.
Guess what, the military is not MISSIONARY WORK for Christians, it is to serve a nation.
What happened to separation of church and state that is IN THE CONSTITUTIONS?
This is a problem, because when we are represented by an army that did what it did to Naida Hosan BASED ON HER NAME, it is no wonder, we receive hatred from the middle east.
to Pretty... as an atheist I agree, however, it is not right to restrict peoples liberties. If they wish to be spiritual in the Military, go ahead, but to the point where it is not affecting anyone else beside them, (i.e. cleansing people based on their religions or pro).

To Baldric:
The No Religious Test Clause of the United States Constitution is found in Article VI, paragraph 3, and states that:
The Senators and Representatives before mentioned, and the Members of the several State Legislatures, and all executive and judicial Officers, both of the United States and of the several States, shall be bound by Oath or Affirmation, to support this Constitution; but no religious test shall ever be required as a qualification to any office or public trust under the United States.
To Ed, Read on the treaty of Tripoli, submitted by John Adams with this clause:
“The Government of the United States of America is not, in any sense, founded on the Christian religion.”

No it's not.
About the only time religion is mentioned in the US Constitution (we only have one) is in the 1st Amendment:
"Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances."
What you understand is Liberals taking a part of a letter out of the Federalist papers when they were discussing what to put in the Constitution.
Liberals and atheists have been quoting that since they found it back in the `70's.
Source(s): Edit to add: Ok, it mentions religion twice- but still doesn't say anything about the separation of church and state. That no religious test means that they can't be promoted or denied based on what they believe--or not. - Anonymous8 years ago
