Laptop screen wont stay on?
i have a cheaper emachine laptop and the last couple days the screen has been not staying on when i turn it on. if i keep hitting the screen on button it will come on for a split second and then turn right back off, then after jamming on it for about 50-100 times the screen stays on and is fine. any ideas?
wow i hope this is what it is, it looks very simple to change. thanks! more comments are still welcome!

The wire that goes from the main body of the laptop to the screen can get old and brittle. I had to replace the wire on a HP laptop about five years ago. I first took it into Best Buy to see if they could fix it and they told me I needed a new screen which would be around $340. So I took the laptop apart very carefully and found that the only problem was the cord. I bought a new one for $5 and plugged it in and it is still working fine.
