Yes I think they should accept food stamps. Before you get on my case....I work 40+ hours a week at a Dr's office. Wednesday is my late night at work...I get to work at 9:00 and I usually don't get off until anywhere between 6:30 and 7:30pm depending how far behind the DR is running. I live 45 minutes from where I work. It would be nice to be able at least once a week stop by a fast food restaurant and get a good meal for myself and for my son instead of just feeding him a bowl of oatmeal. He loves oatmeal....but still it would be nice to treat him to something more. And for myself and my husband....We don't mind eating a plain salami sandwich...but again...it would be nice to at least have something more than that every wednesday.
And No...my husband can't come home and cook a meal either on Wednesdays because he works in the same town I do and picks up OUR son from daycare and takes him just as long to get home.
And for those who don't think you should be able to by chips and soda with food stamps. If I didn't buy those items I wouldn't have a side to go with my sandwich or a drink. I buy soda cause it's cheap...would you prefer I buy a healthy Bolthouse farms which is like $6 for 32 oz drink? It's healtheir than the soda but way more expensive...so i budget my money and get the soda.
And No....I have never bought lobster or crab legs or any expensive types of meat.
And yes....We both do work so OUR tax dollars are also used for our food stamps. Not just your tax dollars! Unless you've been in my shoes....then keep your mouth shut!
ALL OF YOU THAT HAVE THUMBS DOWN THIS ANSWER....YOU HAVE NO IDEA WHAT IT'S LIKE NOT TO HAVE ENOUGH MONEY TO EAT....YOUR JUST IGNORANT....FOOD STAMPS DON'T GET YOU MUCH FOOD.

Sadly, some food chains do accept food stamps. Like the other poster mentioned we too have a local pizza joint that accept food stamps. They don't bake the pizza for you and you have to bake it at home. At the local grocery stores you can buy anything with food stamps accept hot foods such as rotisserie chickens. It upsets me because I've had people in front of me paying with food stamps and their buying nothing but junk food. Then here I am spending $500 in groceries because my husband and I decided to get educated instead of relying on the government. I've walking out and no joke have seen these people getting in exspensive cars on their iPhones. If your "truly" poor you can afford an escalade. So, should fast food accept food stamps? No!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well I've heard stories that in some states they already do accept them at some fast food places, I think that its dumb!
Here Papa Murphy's take n' bake pizza accepts them, my sister in law gets them all the time and than complains that they run low on food around their house... I wonder why?

No. Fast food is generally more expensive than cooking an average meal at home like spaghetti. Plus home cooked food usually leaves left overs.
