Why was i ordered to pay $200 a month for child support?

In my state, the minimum child support amount is based on minimum wage. I'm disabled, and cannot work- ever. It will take years for me to get approved for SSI. Yet, I'm still required to pay $335. Do you get unemployment? Do you get state welfare? They are forcing you to get a job. I'm sorry you have no job or car, but you have a child that still has to eat. Time to grow up. It may suck. You may have to walk to work. You may have to take a crappy job like mowing lawns or flipping burgers. You have a child- their needs come first.

Stop saying it's impossible and making excuses. Find a way. I once walked 2 miles to work each way because I didn't have a choice. I ended up saving enough to buy a bike. After about 8 months, I had saved enough to buy a cash car. Within 2 years, I had tripled my income and purchased a nice SUV based on what I could afford. Each time, my child support went up with each pay raise.

Why.............because you fathered a child! The amount, of child support, is set by a judge.

What you have and what you don't have has NOTHING to do with the monthly expenses of raising a child.

dont cuss at anyone in court it will not help at all

if your wifes new husband adopets them you dont

have to pay child support
