"Everything God said and did is perfect." - what a slave to myth this person is! God drowned his own children, had his son (as himself, apparently) tortured to "save" us from "sin" - nothing about these stories makes any sense. Nothing.

    Me not being a deity...

I would, of course, choose to follow what God instructed over how God acted.

    Example:

    Your TV is not working.

A TV repairman comes to your house (I know, that doesn't happen anymore, I'm old), disassembles your television, discovers and repairs the problem, reassembles the television.

The TV repairman tells you, "Don't bang on the TV when you get excited. That's what caused the TV to not work."

You have to choose between doing what the TV repairman said or what the TV repairman did.

Are you going to stop banging on the TV?

Or are you going to disassemble the TV?

it is what God said that he expects us to obey. the things which God did cannot always be copied by us because of the fact that we are not God and therefore do not have authority over every thing like he does. he created all things, including all human beings, which gives him the right as the supreme being who does not have anyone above him to answer to, to do as he pleases with his creation...but we do not have that same power or authority. we have some power and authority, but we do not have ALL power and authority like he has.

so we must obey the things he says and make every effort to model ourselves accordingly.

Christians "pick and choose" the bible quotes. The "nice" quotes are supported, and the "nasty" quotes are given "EXCUSES" by Christians.

Isaiah 55:11So shall my word be, which shall go forth from my mouth: it shall not return to me void, but it shall do whatsoever I please, and shall prosper in the things for which I sent it.

God does what he says when he says he's going to do something. There isn't any dichotomy.

What He did and what He is going to do is for our admonition. Everything God said and did is perfect.
