How do Christians break it to their children that God had to kill himself because they were so bad and evil?

We Tell them the truth, something that is alien to atheist, who lie to their Children about the origins of life, they concoct a Phony baloney Pseudo science that claims we are randomly formed from lightning struck primordial ooze, and that morals and ethics are relative and subjective, it is no wonder School shootings and all sorts of violence is on the rise, Feel proud of yourself now ? Go ahead and pat yourself on the back for producing a Culture of death.

We Tell our Children that Christ sacrificed Himself for us, in much the same way a fellow soldier would fall on a Grenade to save his buddies.

This is a concept alien to you.

You Want The Real Answer? Listen to me, I'm a 12 year old christian... your most reliable source.

Ok, so they don't 'break it to you' like you'd think, they read the story every time Christmas and Easter come around, so they have it down at a very young age, I was reciting John 3:16 at the age of 2. That is the whole story summarized into one verse. If you don't believe me, here it is. John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, so that whoever believes in Him, shall not perish but have eternal life. We don't act like it is some big thing, well we do, but not how your thinking. It is literally the most important thing in the world, but we don't act like... If only I could have been a little bit better! Why?! Whyyyyy?! We are happy that he was willing to die for us, and that he loves us so much, but we do feel guilty sometimes as well. But it is almost like a motivation, trust in Christ, and try to be good, so God won't have to sacrifice again. We know he wouldn't, but thats sort of how we feel sometimes.

Hopefully you read this, and how more reliable of a source could you get? I am a Christian kid! :)

God didn t kill himself. He allowed his only begotten son to sacrifice himself for all humanity. He did it out of love for us. God s Son, Jesus Christ did not have to die, after all he was only half mortal. Christ had two parents, just like everyone. His father was immortal, and thus, so was Christ- but his mother was mortal, so he could die if he chose to.

Not only did he die for us, he suffered in a way, so deeply and completely, that he could understand all the pain and suffering we have all experienced. Only after all that could he allow himself to be sacrificed. After dying (dying is the separation of body and spirit) Jesus Christ overcame death. He was resurrected (His soul and body were reunited.) Because He did this, we could be resurrected also. Our immortal older Brother lives, and because of Him, we can too. His was a gift given to everyone, Christian, Jew, Athiest, Male, Female, and every other way we describe ourselves. He did it out of love. Love for His Father and love for us. The purest love there ever was or will be. And his Father, our Father, had to let his son suffer and die. All power and all knowledge, and just let it happen. I cannot fathom how deeply, how complete their love for all of us is. But, I can follow the example of our Savior, Jesus Christ, and do what I can to help others. I can t do what He did, both of my parents were mortal. But I can be kind, l can learn to understand their condition, I can develop empathy and act on what I learn. As I do those things I try to emulate the example he gave me. I can try to show my thankfullness in every word I speak, and in every action I take.

That is what I taught my children, and it is what I teach my grandchildren.

Son, do you remember all those times I told you that you were a good boy? Well, I'm sorry. Your father and I have been lying to you. You're a vile, evil piece of garbage because the invisible man in the sky said so.
