Transfering file from sd card to windows pc?

Okay so i want to transfer a file FROM the micro sd card TO the pc, not from the pc to the card. So now if the pc has a virus, will it transfer to my sd card. If yes, then i cant understand how because no file is being moved from the infected pc to the card, only the file is being moved from the card to the pc so i dont think there should be any risk of virus?

It is entirely possibly for the virus on the infected pc to copy an infected file to your sd card without you knowing it. In that case, the virus on your sd card could very well be transferred to other computers you read it with.
