She was the first female news anchor. From 1976 to 2010, she contributed as an anchor, reporter, and correspondent for ABC News, along with producing and hosting her own special interview programs several times yearly. That's about it and she wasn't anything more than an okay and decent news anchor. She wasn't some world wonder that actually changed television, other than being the first female anchor.
