Is the District and Circle line ever open at weekends?
I was in London in February and the end of April, and the District and Circle line was closed at weekends for maintenance.
I have just been watching a video on Youtube by DigitalRevTV when they where in London, and the District and Circle line was closed.

The District Line or most of it is open most weekends, but not the Circle Line at present. Both these lines are having work done to the signaling systems in preparation for the introduction of new trains,
and driver training for these new trains is also taking place. This work is done at weekends to
prevent disruption to people using the system to go to and from work on weekdays. There are alternative routes available for Circle Line users via the Underground. Bus replacements are provided for withdrawn sections of the District Line and most of the suburban District Line has parallel National rail routes available to travel to central London

The circle line is opened this weekend (18/19 May) but the District Line is closed west of West Kensignton. However the following weekend (25/26 May) both lines are opened.

The district line was open last weekend, the circle line wasn't. Sometimes sections are closed, sometimes the whole line. It depends what maintenance work they need to do, and what other lines are open.
