how do I solve this? 2x - 6 = x + 5?

We have Left Hand Side (L.H.S) as 2x - 6 and Right Hand Side as x + 5

2x - 6 = x + 5

Let's subtract "x" from both the sides.

2x - 6 - x = x + 5 - x

We get,

x - 6 = 5

Adding "6" to both sides, we get,

x = 11
