Should women sign "boyfriend/husband opposed to pregnancy" affidavit to free men from responsibility?
There are huge amount of men who can no longer afford alimony. Many of those men were opposed to the woman getting pregnant in the first place. These men are hounded forever by courts, attorneys, etc.
With this case taking place in Florida right now it occurs to me that the man is much a victim as the unborn child was: He did NOT want to be a father. Period. I'm not saying what he did is right, but he probably did this out of desperation.
My question is: Since many U.S. states do legally prosecute men who do not contribute to their child's alimony, how is it that no law has been created where a woman signs an affidavit where she NOT makes her temporary or permanent partner responsible for the "creation" of that baby when she alone wants to have that child.
Actually it would be the man who would carry this affidavit with him and she would sign it in front of two witnesses and a notary public.
Since the beginning of time there have been endless amounts of women who used babies as a means to tie men down, and for many other purposes. Nowadays many, if not most women are "pictured" as independent and free, except when it comes to pretend they're on the pill and get pregnant.
@XYZZY: Thanks for clarification & addi. info. Still, I am completely right in that men should NOT be made to pay for what they opposed since the beginning or at some point during relationship. Basically I refer to a "contract" between 2 adults: One fails her part of contract, the other party is NOT responsible. I DO NOT refer to an "unplanned" pregnancy where contraceptives failed, for example. I refer to woman deliberately becoming pregnant, thus breaking contract.

Are you kidding me?
Then men should also sign a " boyfriend/husband opposed to sex" affidavit.
A WOMAN doesn't control when she gets pregnant. Its not "her" fault. If a woman AND A MAN have sex, and it happens, it happens. The only VICTIM is the CHILD. That's why BOTH parents contribute to the expenses of raising it.
Rarely does a man sick around after creating a child. Are you stating being a single mother is a desired position for women? You must be high.
If guys want to stop being "trapped", there's one 100% solution. STOP HAVING SEX!
Short of that they need to grow up, stop whining and own up to their responsibilities.

Women should do a lot of things which would prevent men from being screwed over by them, but as long as there is something in it for the women then you're not going to see that happening any time soon.
I sometimes find it amazing that women were ever considered the kinder, more gentler of the sexes.
BTW In a society that has abortion legalized, then a woman is not with CHILD if she becomes pregnant. Instead, she is with FETUS until 20 some weeks in, at which time abortion is no longer a legal option for her. So the man has not made a child with her. He has made a fetus with her. It is only if the woman chooses to carry the pregnancy to term and does so that the fetus becomes a child. Therefore, it is through the woman's choice alone that a child is created.
Everyone who tries to blame the man for children being born in societies where abortion has been legalized needs to seriously reevaluate their opinion. Women are the ones who have all of the control over their pregnancies in those societies, so they should buck up and take the responsibilities that come with the choices they make concerning them. It is only in societies in which abortions aren't legalized wherein a fetus is a child at the moment of conception. Therefore, any pregnancy would result in a child and the man would be as responsible for its creation as the woman. If women want men to share in the responsibility of creating a child, then they either need to give them the right to decide if she carries to term or delegalize abortion.

First it is not alimony for the child it is child support Alimony is a legal obligation on a person to provide financial support to his or her spouse before or after marital separation or divorce. Child support is an ongoing, periodic payment made by a parent for the financial benefit of a child following the end of a marriage or other relationship. Child maintenance is paid directly or indirectly by an obligor to an obligee for the care and support of children of a relationship that has been terminated, or in some cases never existed. Often the obligor is a non-custodial parent. The obligee is typically a custodial parent, a caregiver, a guardian, or the state. Child support is between the non custodial parent and the child and has nothing to do with the other parent.

It wouldnt be a legal contract...
If a man doesnt want children then the man should take the necessary precautions, the woman doesnt force the man to have sex without a condom. Since birth control pills are not 100% effective in preventing pregnancy then if the man choses to have sex without a condom then he assumes full responsibility if he produces a child.
If a man never ever wants to have children then the man should go and get a vesectomy, the technology advancements in vesectomy procedures have brought the failure rate of a vasectomy to 1/2 of 1% Where as female birth control has a failure rate of 1.9 %
For a 100% effective birth control the man can just not have sex and protect his interests completely or if he needs sex so badly he can enter into a homeosexual relationship where the chances of unplanned or trapped pregnancy is less than .000000000000000000000000000001 %

No, the answer's simple, if you don't want kids then take steps to avoid getting anyone pregnant, such as using contraception or keeping your flies zipped up.

Except it has no legal validity once the child is born......
If it makes you feel better, sign away.
IN Kansas, they are chasing a SPERM DONOR for child support.
If it's your DNA< you may have to support it.
