How to make my SD card as internal storage of my android phone?

I'm using MyPhone A818 Slim Duo,running Android 2.3 Gingerbread. I just bought 8GB sd card yesterday... tried to install GO Launcher and GO Sms Pro it was installed, but then when I tried installing GO Locker and GO Keyboard it says "insuficient sufficient storage!" But with my 2GB SD I was able to install them all.. As what I have researched, my phone has 250MB internal storage. Is my new SD card useless? How do I make SD card my internal storage? Is there anyway to do it? Please help me! :-( Thanks...

Android has multiple storage areas: system area, app storage, and "SDcard". (later Android also added sdcard-ext)

your Sdcard is obviously "Sdcard". It does not increase app storage. It's separate. Imagine it's your E: drive when apps are installed on the C: drive (and cannot be upgraded or changed).

Usually that "insufficient storage" is for "app storage", as in you have too many apps installed.

If you're running Froyo or Gingerbread, you can try to "move apps to SD". Go into manage applications (settings / applications), then check each app and see if you can "move app to SD card". You have to do this one at a time.

AND uninstall any apps you're not using.

Get the app in the app store called App to SD and it will transfer any data to your SD card or from your SD card to your memory on your phone in one tap.
