Can you recommend a good book?

Fallen Angels by Walter Dean Myers - A story of a platoon in the army who become brothers and endure the hardships together that they are faced with.

Stormbreaker by Anthony Horowitz - a story of a normal kid who learns about his uncles true past and must find the man who killed him (teen spy). *first book of the series*

Gregor The Overlander by Suzanne Collins - a story about a teenager who follows his younger sister down a mysterious hole in his basement that leads him to a whole new world which he learns he must protect. *first book of the series*

The House Of The Scorpion by Nancy Farmer - a story based in a world of Humans and Clones. Except one clone is more human than the others and must show the humans he isn't just an empty shell.

Harry Potter and The Sorcerers Stone by J.K. Rowling - a classic story about a young teenager who finds out he is a wizard and goes to a school to hone his skills, but he discovers a certain evil he must fight off.

The Gunslinger by Stephen King - a great story about a man named Roland of Gilead who is a gunslinger, who is hunting down "The Man In Black", one of his many steps towards his final destination, The Dark Tower

No Greater Sacrifice

"This book has it all : adventure, romance, archaeology, history, puzzles to be solved, some mysticism, lightening-speed travel jaunts across Europe, faith lost and found, good versus evil--it is a fun, mostly light read that was exciting and absorbing. I got a little lost in all the symbolism, and how the pieces of the puzzle all fit together, but I see this as my own short-coming, not that of the book. Renee D'Arcadia is a great heroine, honest, direct, super strong both physically and emotionally. It is great to see a male author create such a wonderful female character. Her hero, and ours, David Arturo, is strong, gentle, an almost ideal man--(with a few of the flaws most men seem to struggle with). The other characters contribute just the right tension and fullness to the story. This is a great accomplishment for a debut novel."
