Sorry but you're only divorced. You're definitely not a widower. To be be a widow, or widower, you have to be still married to the person at the time of their death. You were not.

Divorce. It take a decision during the marriage to divorce. Widowed. There was not decision during the marriage, because the oath of marriage was decided during the marriage vows; and implies truth and trust.
