Bought a used car and repaired new parts on it...if I return the car to the dealership, can I get reimbursed?

I bought a used car at a low end dealership. A week later I bought some new parts (new suspension parts, brakes etc) to replace on the car. Just found out the finance company declined my auto loan so I may need to return the car to the dealership. My question is, will I be able to get reimbursed by the dealership for the parts I repaired? Dealership is in North Carolina if that helps.

You might get a thank you for repairing their car, but nothing else. The car was still theirs until the financing went through, which it didn't. When they let you drive the car off the lot, they did a credit assumption, based on what you told them. Once they contacted your bank, or loan institution, the institution did a thorough credit check and determined that your credit wasn't going to meet the needs for the loan. This is a common practice, unfortunately to many people think their credit is better than what it really is.

It depends upon the dealership programs.Better read all the instruction & policy norms of that auto finance company before returning the car to them. Why because if that company has declined your auto loan then its quite obvious that,it may not take back the car..

Approach them with confidence, make a conversation with them.It can help you a lot.

Not only will you not get anything for the parts, you may still be liable for some or all of the original sales price!

You really need to read your sales contract and loan papers really well (before you sign is best!).
