I can sense things before they happen?

This may sound like a joke but i'm serious:

Sometimes, I get a vague thought about something then it actually happens later on and takes me by surprise.

For example, I would get a vague though that a dog would go missing and it would go missing later on.

I would get the feeling that you changed your Facebook picture and it would be changed later on.

I would have a thought about anything really and it happens.

The thing about it is, it only happens when it's vague and I don't believe it...it never happens when it's believable.

I've had this for a year now, what is wrong with me?

You are just experiencing what many people before you have gone through. Its called prophetic thinking.

2 things are in place here.

The first which is the majority of your state is confirmation bias.

The second is that the brain is a strange thing. Everything you experience is your brain basically predicting how to interpret stimuli. A majority of this actually happens based on previous stimuli, in a sense predicting what will happen next to ensure that the interpretation is as spontaneous to the actual stimuli as possible. This means your brain is subconsciously predicting things all day based on stimuli you don't even notice you are noticing, which is the same reason "psychics" exist, these are simply people who are subconciously picking up on stimuli that most other people aren't.

We are all many kinds of things: some of us are one way, others the other way.

So often those who don't have this condemn, not sure why that is.

We have many abilities. Many. To give just a physical example, but

still amazing to me, the top chess player in the world once played

6 games of chess simultaneously just swinging his chair around and

around. Was that Bobby Fisher? Might have been.

You have developed an ability, you have become 'tuned in'

and this makes sense for some to do this. You must have an

empathic way, an ability to 'be with' the situation, tune into it.

I'd find it strange, though that it ...never happens when it is believable?

It could also be a demonic cosmic joke. Don't believe me, do this...

next time you get this vague feeling, empower it...say within yourself,

'hmm, could be' and see what happens then. See if it still is shown to you.

Its likely to be a slight elevation of your dopamine levels. This causes you to make more connections than most people and attribute more significance to it. If you were to able to write down every vague thought you had and how many times the thing then happened or didn't happen, you would probably find it was very similar to someone else who was sure this never happened to them but you see the connection more and think 'I was only thinking about that earlier' without realising than for every 1 thing which happened after you thought about it, 20 things you thought about did not happen. As you said yourself, you do not believe its going to happen and this indicates that most things you think do not happen.

It's called precognition. Knowing something before it happens. Foreseeing. It's a psychic ability. There's nothing "wrong" with you; you are just using another sense that most people either don't have or don't choose to use (or acknowledge).

Do yourself a favor and read a Wikipedia article on confirmation bias.

Simple coincidence. you're just remembering times when there appeared to be a connection and ignoring those when it didn't.

    You have ten minutes.

EDIT: Last nights pizza, you guessed wrong!
