    Ahh, I remember these.

    Necessary Condition: you can't have one without the other (Y depends on x)

    It is a necessary condition to be a female in order to give birth.

    Gas in car is a necessary condition for the car to run

    Air is a necessary condition for human life

    It is a necessary condition to be a male and single to be a bachelor.

    Sufficient Condition: that statements guarantee each other, but aren't the only means

    Being human is a sufficient condition for being a mammal.

    Being a father is a sufficient condition for being male

    Rain pouring from the sky is a sufficient condition for the ground to be wet.

    Decapitation is a sufficient condition for death
