What is a good curling wand?

I am looking for a good large barrel clamp-less curling wand so I can make some nice loose waves with it. I have a small conair one that makes smaller ringlets, but I would like something I can use to make nice loose waves. I would like it to be something I can find at Target, Walmart, or Sally's beauty supply. I don't want to spend more than $40. Thanks :)

I have the Conair curling wand the one that has a larger barrel, it's perfect because it gives you loose waves. I think I purchased mine at Walmart for about $30 to $40 dollars. If you want one that isn't pricey you should only purchase a Conair, those are the best ones in my opinion.

Okay this look is really easy. First you need any kind of hairspray and a 1 1/2 curling iron. Then separate your hair into five separate sections, secure with clips. Take a section and, take about an inch wide section to curl. repeat varying how wide sections are. Do this through out section then spritz hairspray through out section, don't spritz hairspray if it looks to curly just leave it and apply later. Repeat threw entire head. If this comes out too curly then flip hair around until you find desired look. Hope this helps and good luck on the formal!
