Is the Goosebumps book series age appropriate for my eight year old?
my daughter is 8 but she's in the second grade and she's an avid reader and i had goosebumps books from my younger years and i was wondering if she could read them or are the a little too much?

Let her choose. ;) If she likes them, and is interested, let her. I began reading the goosebumps series when I was in the first grade, and I loved them throughout elementary school and read most of them since I loved reading books. I don't think they are too much for her, although she may not really enjoy them as some people don't.

Unless she is very easily scared, they should be fine. I loved them at that age. If she waits much longer to read them, she won't be that impressed. They are not that scary for an 11-12 year old.

they might be a little boring for her. maybe wait til she's in 3rd grade..that's about when I started reading them. Then again, I was 8, so. Maybe you should ask her if she wants to read them or not.

Little too much. Horror films/stories/books just harness negative energy, definitely not something you want for your child.
Handing those books is like instiling fear into her.
