What the h*** is happening to Yahoo Answers?
I have also asked this in Yahoo Answers category but am wondering if many senior citizens are also experiencing this:-
Y.A. seems to be going totally bananas. For the umpteenth time this week I have typed in my email address and, without selecting anything at all, have been taken to an old email. Today's was from October 2006. It doesn't give me any choice 'open', 'compose' or anything else, it just pops up.
This is certainly not the only glitch which has been repeated a lot recently but it's the one really bugging me at the moment.
Are there some MORE major changes going on with Yahoo or have they just lost the plot again.
No doubt I'll have my account suspended for being critical now so I might never see your answers.
Mister Peabody, how come you know so much You say it's ALWAYS been like this yet you have barely been here for six months
Have you, perhaps, had to keep starting new accounts because many have been lost to 'the system'?

Ha!!!! Everyday there seems to be some problem. Never know what to expect. I have E-mail and don't get it till hours later, my scroll bar has disappeared, stuff gets shot over into spam. All kinds of crap. The list goes on. Just know you are not alone. And yes many have to start new accounts. I know two or three have had their accounts just vanish and were given no explanation. Supposed to be free speech in America, but by golly say the wrong thing and don't go along with the sheep, bingo! your gone. Lickety split.

You are not the only one experiencing the glitches - being directed to where you did not wish to go etc. and it is all 'more than a little annoying'. All the problems with the site, plus the unfair deletions and thumbing down for no reason are driving people away.
It's not the happy place it used to be. I don't know whether the problems are just with Senior Citizens or whether all categories are the same. In the other categories they just seem to ask and answer whereas we respond to each other more. Maybe that is what Yahoo don't like and they are manipulating a shut down of this category.
My guess is that the advertisers (Yahoo's main source of income) don't have a clue what is going on. They'd pull the plug if they knew the extent of the problems and the numbers leaving (UNLESS it is happening ONLY in this category).

What is happening to Yahoo Answers? Quite a lot from where I am sitting. I sometimes feel as if a gremlin has taken over my mouse because I get taken to places I had not asked to be. Emails open that I did not request, I suddenly find SIGN OUT on the screen when I wasn't ready to sign out. My page suddenly appears in another language etc. and all without my having moved anything at all.
My other account I cannot open any more because each time I sign in I receive a message telling me that I am signing on from 'device they don't recognise'. I am asked for an answer to a question which was stored when I first opened the account and, although I give the correct answer (I know it's correct because I set my own question) it tells me that the answer is incorrect. That makes my account unusable now. That account was the one I use, mainly, for contacting 'real' people. I have had to open another email account to be able to still do that and I have chosen one other than with Yahoo.

Well since this answer will probably be deleted or reported as so many of mine are lately, I will just say this site now sucks!
used to be allot of fun but in the past 6 months or so it has been going downhill fast.
There are still many nice and interesting people on here but so many trolls have come along as posers trying to pass themselves off as seniors, it has ruined a good thing.
Hope they have fun answering themselves as many of us real seniors have had enough and will be looking for other things to keep ourselves busy, very boring to get reported evey other answer.
When this site is gone then they will have to move onto the disabled and then go onto those with family issues, anything to tear people up.
Real "Party Poopers'!!
As I said this will be deleted or reported no matter what I say, I am surprised I have answered so nicely knowing in the end it was an other waste of my time.

I haven't had any problems with Answers, but some with my E Mail. It says I have attachments, but I can't open them. I am sure it is just a "glitch" and things will be back to normal soon.

It appears as though they want to decrease the number of users and they feel if they create enough problems and distractions a number of people will just go away. When I see the absence of a number of names that were on here regularly, I see this to be true.

Apparently you didn't see earlier in the week when they actually admitted they were having problems and were trying to fix them.

It's already gone to HELL in a hand basket. A lot a ranting by a few freaks has made it like someone's personal soapbox that no one wants to listen to.

I honestly believe that they are creating distractions to keep people off of here.
