    Why wouldn't you?

It would only be exempt if your state offered a sales tax holiday for President's day AND furniture was an eligible purchase.

Most sales tax holidays are in the late summer and generally apply to back-to-school clothing and supplies.

Edit: Apparently, Maryland has a President's Day sales tax holiday but it only applies to energy efficient appliances and light bulbs. Furniture would not apply.

Any purchase that is not food from the grocery store or used items are typically sales taxable.

Also purchases on the internet that do not have sales tax included are subject to state use tax. So in essence you should be filing a use tax return for all the purchases you made in which no one withheld sales tax.

Quit trying to be a leach and pay your fare share.

I just gave Arnie $2,200 after I purchased my spouse a auto final month. It's DISGUSTING. I'm a native Californian and a teacher. We 750,000 unlawful immigrant kids every year, but God forbid we will have to try to send them house! The dems have managed the State meeting for twenty-five years. It is on THEM.

sure, only unless your city, county or state or the place you bought it claimed a sales tax holiday

Of course, why wouldn't it be.
