How to make a "green light" costume?
I am going to a "Great Gatsby" themed costume party and I wanted to go as the green light as a joke. I wanted to make some sort of lantern shape that i could wear around my head, with either a single green strobe light on top or an assortment of green LED's throughout. Underneath I am just going to wear all black.
How would I build this rigging? I want something that is relatively comfortable, perhaps with padding, and I want the lantern to be around my head if at all possible, rather than above my head. For reference, I imagine 4 bars coming at an angle up to an apex, where the light is, a cone shape.
Thanks so much for any guidance.

That sounds hilarious! I can just see a group of people in tuxedos, suits, flapper dresses, bob style wigs, long necklaces....and some random person walks in as a green spotlight. Lol. Your idea of the costume actually sounds pretty good. I like the idea with the strobe light better than LED. But getting it to blink slow enough might be an issue. But funny as all get out!!! Have fun!

nicely, indexed under are some recommendations that are exceedingly common and easy to tug together. Boy Scout- hit upon a boy scout uniform at a thrifts save (or thieve one out of your brother, like i'm doing ) and purely use the shirt, hat and headscarf. placed on a denim minskirt (in case you do no longer choose for to be too revealing or some thing, placed on leggins decrease than) and boots. there you have it! you're a Boy Scout! Pirate: A pirate's particularly common to do. purely get a stripe shirt, a protracted head headscarf and a few pirate-esque black boots, pair 'em with some dark pants, and you're a pirate!
