what is the closest drill bit to #36? I cant find them anywhere.?

36 is .1065". 3/32" is a touch smaller, 7/64" is a little bigger. If you are drilling for a 6-32 tap, use the 7/64". Hope this helps.

Try a Tacoma Screw location. They do stock number drills like for a 6-32 tap. Another way to tap for that thread in thin material is to use a tri tap and start with a smaller drill bit.
