What if it rains non stop during the French Open?

Ok, so the weather in France has been really bad for weeks now, there were only two sunny days in May, and otherwise it's raining nearly every day.

They announced that it will likely be rainy all this week, probably next week and until mid-June.

My question is, what would happen of the tournament this year if it rains every single day? As Roland Garros doesn't have a covered court, would they just cancel the tournament or move it some place else? I just have a bad feeling about the weather, as it has been awful the last two months and even more.

LIke its Sister Slam, The US Open, should there be lot's of rain and umbrellas in the upcoming tennis fortnight, they would likely squeeze in play as they could and players would play more than once per day.

If it got really inundated, the men could possibly play the best two of three until the semifinal round and from there forward play the best of five sets.

I certainly hope that both Roland Garros and the US Open are "saving for a rainy day" and are allocating funds for at least two stadiums with roofs.

Matches can be played in light drizzle, but you are obviously talking about conditions which would force delays and/or cancellations of blocks of matches. If weather would preclude the tournament from getting a couple rounds completed, it could end up being abandoned. There is not room on the calendar to reschedule -- and there is no way other tourneys would be delayed or cancelled to make room.

we are sure if it rains the game will be postponed and might be fixed on a clear weather day. And yeah.. the tournament must go on anyway.

No they would just keep playing matches whenever they can and try and complete the schedule on time. If it over runs (which I doubt) they will play into the following week.
