8mm vhs tape adapter?

i found some old 8mm tapes that i want to see whats on them, these tapes could be seen on a vcr using a adapter in which the 8mm tape fit inside a vhs cassette tape in order to View them, my question is does anyone know where i can find one of these adapters.

    no adapter ever existed for Video8 to VHS playback. you may be confused by the VHS-c adapters that allowed a VHS camcorder tape to be played in a VCR. VHS-c and VHS is identical tape. Video8 tape is wider (8mm) compared to VHS (6mm) and it also runs slower. Video8 is metal tape and VHS is ferric oxide. there are plenty of other differences between the 2 systems that make them incompatible.

    There is no such thing. 8mm standards are too different from VHS. You are confusing 8mm with VHSc.
