Skyrim dlc: Dawnguard or Dragonborn?

I love playing Skyrim, especially the role-playing aspect, so Hearthfire dlc was perfect for me. But now I'm wondering if I get Dawnguard, will the vampire attacks ruin my experience with merchants and other npcs being killed? And, if it is worth it for crafting arrows ability AND crossbows? Should I go with dragonborn for the armors or Dawnguard for the arrows? Thank you in advance for helping me out.

    If you have to choose one get Dragonborn. It adds a new locale and tons of gameplay.

    Dragonborn is the larger of the two DLC by quite a lot. It adds an entire pseudo-continent.
