So the dentist put fluoride on my teeth..?

I had a cleaning today, and my dentist put this yellowish fluoride that tastes like bubblegum on my teeth that makes my teeth sticky. She told me not to drink hot drinks for the next 2 hours. 3 hours have passed now. Is it okay to eat with the fluoride stuff still on my teeth?? (Im starving lol) Also my back teeth hurt when i bite down an hour after my cleaning. Is that normal? This is my first cleaning in like 4 years.

After 4 years, you had a lot of crud under the gum line to scrap away. The gums are tender when the foreign matter is scraped out, for a few days sometimes.

It's ok to eat normally. The fluoride glaze won't harm you since it's only done once in a great while.
