Can anyone else not stand that new yogurt they call greek?

My wife has brought home several different kinds and flavors. She likes them but I find them to be bitter and leave a nasty after taste.

Of all the things available to eat, Greek yogurt is way down there with sushi and mealy worms on my list of favorites.

With Greek yogurt, they simply remove more of the liquid whey when they process it. And, it really doesn't taste much different from regular yogurt, except that they tend to have more healthful (read less sugar) varieties of Greek yogurt that regular yogurt.

If you don't like Greek yogurt, I suggest that you eat ice cream instead.

greek yogurt is normally a thicker version of natural yogurts that are not stripped of fat content. it could be you're used to yogurts made with artificial bacteria and sweetened to taste or the greek yogurt is not natural. natural unflavored yogurt does have a slightly bitter or tart tang.

It's not exactly new, the Greeks have been eating it for centuries! If you're used to eating sweetened yoghurt then it would definitely take some getting used to. Try the plain flavour and mix it with some honey. As you get more used to it you'll probably find you'll start putting less honey in.

Greek yogurt isn't new, It's been around for hundreds of years. Why not ask your wife to buy regular yogurt for you and Greek for herself? That's what I do; my husband doesn't like it either.

Check to see if artificial sweeteners are being used.
