starting again in the UK?
My husband has decided he wants a divorce and is making life unbearable because I won't just move out and leave everything to him.
The trouble is, if we sold our house we wouldn't get more than £25K each - at most. I only have 10 years to go before I retire, so I wouldn't get a mortgage. Even for a one bed or bachelor apartment I can't find anything to rent for less than £450 per month with minimum £150 per month council tax. I clear under £700 per month after tax and NI. My car has also broken down and I need a car for work.
How do other people make this work? I feel like I am in an impossible situation.

You need to get a job which makes more money. Working full time at tesco would make more than that. Nobody can live on their own making that little.
There is another option-rent a room! You could make new friends with housemates.
