I'm wanting to join the U.S. Military. Which ASVAB study guide should I get?
I am finally proceeding with the next chapter of my life(which I am extremely excited about). I am wanting to join the U.S. Military and I am having trouble figuring out which ASVAB book to buy. I have found several that claim to be the best,but I would like one that covers each section of the test thoroughly. Most that I have thumbed through focus on the 4 major subjects that the Military requires you to pass but I would like to brush up on each and every subject instead of just the main 4 subjects required. Which ASVAB study guide would be the best one to get for all subjects included in the test? Thanks so much for any answers.

So I always recommend Barron's ASVAB. That being said all will focus on those 4 because they make up your AFQT. The others are just aptitude. They generate your line scores to see what fields you may be successful in! My 2 cents is to study the 2 math and 2 English portions then focus on the sections that appeal to you most. Studying those 4 that the book focuses on gives you your AFQT which is a percentile score (highest you can get is a 99 which means you did better then 99% of the people who took it when they did the study) that qualifies you for the military. The higher you score on this the more options you will have and the more willing recruiters will be to work with you!

You probably wasted 12 years of your life blowing off the best ASVAB study guide you could ever have.
I paid attention in school and got an 87 without studying- after being out for two years.
