No, actually it does. It is just a matter of degrees, like being slightly pregnant. There are plenty of cesspools in list of urban cities - Los Angeles, Washington, Phoenix. New Orleans is hardly a conservative city.

Crime does not follow a particular ideology, the ideology in question follows crime. People who "want theirs", regardless of whether it is going to wreck the nation tend to vote for the people who promise to give them free stuff.

Old people (like me) fall in this category. Well, a lot of old people are liberals, but it is also skewed because all old people believe the money they had confiscated for Social Security was theirs and they want it back. I am one of a strong minority who would rather fix the country than "get my benefits", but not if I (and others who planned ahead) are the only ones who are going to suffer.

Gee. What could possibly be different about those examples you gave? What could one find in great abundance in Chicago and Detroit, but not nearly as much in Portland and Seattle?
